Dr. Dawn Siegel to Lead First Research Network in Pediatric Dermatology

Dawn Siegel, MD, associate professor of dermatology, is a founding member of the Pediatric Dermatology Research Alliance (PeDRA) and was appointed as Co-Chair of the organization in November. Dr. Siegel has certifications in dermatology and pediatric dermatology.

PeDRA is a collaborative research network founded in 2012 to address crucial unmet needs in skin disorders of infancy and childhood. Today, the alliance serves as the organizing entity for 41 multisite studies that involve more than 65 institutions across the United States, Canada and Mexico.

In this co-chair leadership position, Dr. Siegel joins Dr. Lawrence Eichenfield, chief of pediatric and adolescent dermatology at Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego and professor of dermatology and pediatrics at the University of California, San Diego, who has been co-chair since PeDRA’s inception.
